🤔 Connecting to Stripe
Setting up a Stripe account is quick and easy. Stripe will require information about your business and customer support details, such as a phone number and address, which may be included on subscriber invoices and credit card statements.
To connect with Stripe on Carrot:
- Navigate to Settings and select the "Setup" option in the "Connect Payments" section.
- Provide the requested information, such as your business address and personal details, as required by Stripe based on your country's regulations.
- Connect your bank account for payouts by using your online banking credentials or by manually entering your routing and account numbers.
- Supply customer support details that allow subscribers to easily identify charges on their credit card statements.
- After submitting the information, return to Carrot. You are ready to publish your first paid collection !

You can view your Stripe account by selecting the "Stripe Portal" link under "Connect Payments" on the Settings page at any time.

Are there any fees?
If you add paid subscriptions, we charge 10% and there is a credit card fee charged by Stripe.
How long do payouts take?
Payouts typically arrive in your bank account within 48 hours of each transaction. However, the first payout for a new Stripe account can take up to 7-14 days to be deposited in your bank account. You can read more information on the payout process from our payment processor's website.
Will I receive a notification when a payout is being processed?
Yes, you will be notified once a payout is on its way. You can set your payouts to be sent on a daily or weekly basis, and Stripe will notify you via email of the amount and the estimated deposit date to your bank account once a payout is initiated.
If Stripe is not available in my country, what are my options?
As our only payments provider, we heavily rely on Stripe's features to make Carrot work. However, not all of Stripe's features are available in every country. As an alternative, you could use Stripe Atlas to set up a company and bank account in the US, which is designed to work with Stripe.
Can I hide my support phone number and address?
To keep your support phone number and address confidential, please go to Account Details in your Stripe Settings and make the necessary changes in the settings.
